Hello Darek, please tell us a little bit about you. How did you discover your passion for Digital Paintings?
My name is Darek Zabrocki and I am 22. I work as freelance illustrator and concept artist for more than 4,5 years. I love drawing and painting since I remember, I started drawing when I was already 3 years haha. What put me into Digital Painting? One day I found on internet some beautiful digital painting works it was around 2006 and I was really impressed by this technique. Firstly, I thought it is fake and all is done thanks to computer filters and so on. After I bought my first Tablet I already knew I was wrong and it is just one more medium you can create worlds you imagine and it is not really that easy. People often think if something is done by computer it is easier

How did you first get into photography?
I remember enjoying taking photos when I was young but never really thought about photography until studying it at high school and really seeing the creative opportunity it has. I decided to take it on more seriously at University, this is when I began sourcing models and creatives for shoots
Please tell us about the photography equpment that you use for most shoots.
I usually use a 5dmrk II, and 85mm lens or 50mm 1.8
Do you have a muse?
I don't have a specific muse while shooting, but am inspired by many different artists whether they're photographer's, painters, cinematographers, or designers. A few favourites are Danny Yount, Tim Walker, Karen Radkai, and Claude Monet
Where do you draw inspiration for your shoots?
I like to draw inspiration from narratives, tv/movies, magazines, and illustrations for my fashion based work. For more personal work, like my 365, I tend to draw inspiration from thoughts or emotions I'm experiencing at the time
What is your ultimate dream project?
I have too many to list haha, probably photographing for a magazine like vogue, or shooting promotional material for a film or tv show, or a creative photoshoot for a band. Any project I get that involves photography I think I'll love
